These daysTorre Iberdrola is buzzing with people coming in and out of the building and gathering in its environs. Iberdrola’s General Shareholders' Meeting was held on 22nd of the month and you could tell. As usual, a meeting was first held in the auditorium of the building and this involved around 200 members of the group's management team from Spain, Brazil, United States, United Kingdom, Portugal and Mexico.
This event, which was chaired by the journalist María Escario, was also attended by the film-maker Julio Medem and the orchestra conductor Inma Shara. Music was central to the event. In fact, those attending were greeted with the sound of a piano playing the song Good Vibrations, by The Beach Boys.
The purpose of this meeting was to provide information for those attending about the future strategy of the electricity company through a presentation from its chairman, Ignacio Galán. There was also a contribution from Inma Shara, who conveyed the importance of commitment, passion and talent when it comes to team building, and Julio Medem, who presented a documentary which traces the history of Iberdrola from the point of view of its outstanding contribution to social development.
